In October 2022, YOTC hosted the Walk for Hope fundraiser. Through God's grace, your prayers and donations we were able to exceed our goal of $5000.

RAIN ON ME 5K
RAIN ON ME 5K
In response to one of the worst droughts to hit Ethiopia in 50 years, YOTC partnered with NGO, WaterAid, to help residents living in the Liben Gamo, Babich, and Toke Kombolcha towns of Central Ethiopia get access to clean running water. YOTC organized Project Rain on Me 5K as well as the Drink or Donate Challenge to help build a rarity water flow system. This provided tens of thousands of residents access to clean running water.

CLOTHING DRIVE
YOTC organized a clothing drive for Hamere Berhan Kidus Gebriel Monastery located in Ziway, Ethiopia. Through our GoFundMe page, we were able raise money to transport six suitcases full of clothes to the monastery.

Twice a year YOTC comes together to make custom bagged lunches and toiletry bags to distribute to the homeless in Franklin Square Park in Washington, DC

YOTC has collected hundreds of care bags and baskets containing blankets, hats, gloves, food, words of encouragement etc. and distributed them to the homeless population. YOTC has donated these items to local organizations such as Christ’s House and Thrive DC.

CHRIST'S HEART INITIATIVE
In October of 2018, YOTC’s Humanitarian Team released its prison ministry. Our goal was to raise approximately $1,500 towards donating various items such as books, journals, toiletries, card games and more! The outcome of our efforts towards this "Christ Heart Initiative" titled project was that we exceeded our goal for the number of books donated to Cheltenham Youth Detention Center (75+)! We were able to raise $1,263 (only $237 short of our goal). We were able to fill 60 bags for the teen boys with books, journals, socks, body lotion, and body soap.
